There's one thing you need in any garden, no matter the size or style: storage. Whether you want to keep your furniture cushions dry over the winter, or tidy away your tools and equipment at the end of the day, storage space is essential. Of course, not all sheds, cupboards and boxes are equal when it comes to looks, so we're always on the search for beautiful, stylish pieces that'll work well in any outdoor space.
It's rare to find a shed that delivers on looks, practicality and affordability, which is why we were so excited to find Christow's Narrow Shed. This sweet storage solution is perfect for small gardens; but it would also look charming tucked onto a terrace or at the bottom of a larger garden.
Five reasons we love the Narrow Shed
- The clever design
This shed may be compact in size, but it fits in dedicated spots for all the essentials. Use the full-height section on the left to prop up or hang long tools like spades and loppers, while keeping smaller items on the shelves on the right. The separate roof hatch compartment is ideal for tidying away extras like gardening gloves.
2. The colour choices
Christow's Narrow Shed comes in four sweet colours. Keep things simple with the natural finish, choose grey for more modern schemes, or opt for sage green or blue for a pop of colour.
3. The hardwearing construction
The Narrow Shed is made from durable fir wood and the makers treat each one to protect it from the elements and keep it looking smart for years to come.
4. The details
It's the little things that make all the difference, and the Narrow Shed comes with a barrel-bolt lock, making it easy to add a padlock and keep your belongings secure. It's crafted from galvanised metal, which means it'll stay rust-free for longer.
On the hatch at the top, there's a box latch to stop it blowing open in the wind.
5. The price
Usually coming in at under £170, the Narrow Shed offers great value for money - and it's currently in Christow's sale with 15 per cent off, so you can get it for just £144.49!

If you're in the early stages of your gardening journey or you aren't quite ready to invest in a walk-in glasshouse, this inexpensive alternative could be a good choice. Made with a thick, UV-resistant fabric of an internal grid between two layers of polyethylene, the greenhouse allows in warmth but shouldn't fade or degrade in the sun. Roll up and tie the door section to create an entrance, securing the flap closed with the zips when you're done for the day.
